This delightful and elegant child's cup is decorated with figures in the style of the English children's book illustrater Walter Crane (1845-1915). The name KARL appears in the reserve. A variety of children's moods and humors are observed: three crying or pleading children appear to the left of the cartouche, while three other sprightly, hatted figures and a dog appear to the right. Impressed on bottom with Meriden Brittania mark, STERLING, and a production number of 950B.
