Description:
This large mid-century retro modern 14 Kt yellow gold brooch is from the 1950s. It is in the form of a large spray of rope wire with a graceful design. Fifteen slightly pinkish white Akoya cultured pearl cluster, clean with high shiny luster, studded with prong set genuine rubies. The closure of the pin is rollover or locking C clasp. It is in excellent vintage condition. Marked with maker's mark and 14 K. Also acid tested and guaranteed.

Vintage 14K Gold Riding Crop Pin Essex Reverse Crystal Horse

Description:
14 Kt gold riding crop pin with an excellent quality reverse crystal intaglio.
Reverse crystal, also called Essex crystal, showing a head of a horse framed and backed in 14 Kt yellow gold. Part of the crop is coiled with white gold or platinum.
Reverse crystal jewelry was always fashionable. This pin was made around early 20th century. Marked on the pin 14 K and a maker's mark. The brooch and crystal is in excellent vintage condition.

Size: pin 2" long, crystal 1/2" diameter, approximately 4 mm
A reverse crystal is done when a cabochon rock crystal is carved intaglio, then painted by a fine miniature painter with extremely fine brushes and paint working in reverse to create incredibly detailed images.. Finally, the back was sealed with a layer of mother-of-pearl in order to preserve the painted areas. The deeper the carving, the more pronounced the three-dimensional effect when looked on the top which acts like a magnifier.

Wonderfully detailed vintage 14K yellow gold Shriner lapel pin with a tiny yellow gold sphinx head. The tiny lapel pin bears the crescent moon studded with 6 small diamonds, a scimitar sword and a star set with a larger diamond in the center. The scimitar stands for the backbone of the fraternity. The pin is excellent vintage condition. Unmarked but acid tested. The threaded pole is there, but unfortunately the back that fastens to the lapel is missing, probably the mark was on that.

The rose cut diamond set in oxidized silver at the head of the pin forms a cross and three natural pearls on the top, and the sides. There is a decorative heart shaped stopper on the other end. This lovely stick pin is in very good antique condition, with a beautiful old patina. It is not marked but acid tested and guaranteed to be 9 Kt.

This is a 1920-30's wonderful vintage filigree platinum Art deco versatile brooch or pendant. The fold down diamond set bale allow the brooch to be worn as a pendant. The closure of the pin is rollover or locking C clasp.
The beaded edged bezel-set old European cut diamonds are bright white. 3 dangling diamonds add movement. This pendant would look great on a white gold or platinum chain. In excellent vintage condition. It is unmarked but it has been acid tested and guaranteed.
The Art Deco Period, which began around 1920 and ended about 1935 is a favorite of collectors today.
