A lady's fine and attractive platinum and diamond oval Art Deco
bracelet watch. Oval shaped mechanical jeweled movement, white
dial, black Arabic numerals. Hinged back. Platinum mesh bracelet and
clasp. It is signed on the silver white face Plojoux Geneve. On the
back of the case, hidden in the beautiful design is the Case number
1140 and Plojoux Geneve. Since this watch is not marked on the
movement I would guess it was made between 1925-1938, and
Plojoux was the retailer. The platinum mesh bracelet is marked on the
clasp Platine and a hallmark with G F. Initials G.H.H engraved on the
back of the case. It is a listed Geneva firm established in the 1870s at
30 Rue du Rhone in Geneva Switzerland. From 1925-1938 they are
listed having retail stores in Geneva, Montreux and Paris. Watch
works. Could use cleaning. Mesh band is in perfect condition.The
mesh band slips over the knuckle. It can be tightened as desired, by
pulling the clasp, and secure it by pushing down. Total approximate diamond weight:1.30 Ct. Size of watch: 40 mm top (diamond to diamond) Size of mesh band: 7.5" Long, 8 mm Wide. Total weight 21.6 grams including movement. |
