Description: |
This elegant pendant or pocket watch was made for the prominent Boston jewelers Bigelow Kennard & Co. The face displays stylized platinum color numbers and hands on an off-white background. A row of diamonds set in platinum forms an intricate border. A black enamel edge separates the face from the back. The arch shaped hanging loop is also encrusted with diamonds. Marked 3 PLATINUM 6 on the back. ( I don't know what the numbers represent) I was told by the watchmaker, who overhauled the watch that the movement is probably made by one of the best Swiss watchmakers C.H. Meylan of Brassus, Switzerland. On the movement marked BIGELOW KENNARD & CO. BOSTON, SWISS, and ADJUSTED 10188. It is in working condition, but it is being offered on an as is condition. There is a little black enamel chip on the side. Case, dial and movement is in very good condition. I am not a watch dealer. If you look at my other listings, you will find I sell selected fine jewelry and this is being one of those. Size: 1-3/4" (4.5 cm) diameter. Total approximate diamond weight: 2 Ct |
