Description:
Vacheron & Constantin, the Prestige Swiss Watch Company made the movement for Black Starr and Frost Circa. 1890. This whimsical pendant watch features old mine cut and rose cut diamonds in a millegrain setting. All diamonds tested with a diamond tester. Total diamond weight is approximately 5.25 carats. Platinum tested with platinum acid. The watch hangs from a swivel bail and an elaborate openwork floral design. Pave-set rose cut diamonds encrust a disk covering the watch back. The black-on-white watch face displays delicate script numbers and is marked Black Starr and Frost. The face is framed by a scrolling curvilinear motif. The watch mechanism is marked Vacheron & Constantin, Swiss, and 38659.
