Description:
This fine Etrog box in the Empire revival style is decorated with swags of garlands and bow. The bulbous body is resting on four feet and is topped with a leaf motive finial. Beautiful gold washed interior. The inside is marked with the Austrian hallmark of Diana's head for 1867 with the letter A for Vienna and a number 3 for 800 silver. There is also a makers mark. Unfortunately there is one dent on the back, (shown in the pictures), but the rest of the box is in excellent vintage condition. There is a lock and key (doesn't seem to work), hinge is in full working order, closes tight.
