Description: |
This is a very attractive rectangular French silver box with engine turned decoration all around the box and a stylish decoration and a vacant cartouche on the top. It can be used for pills or small trinkets. It is in excellent antique condition with clear details. The lid hinge is in good working order, the lid opens and closes properly and it will not fall open accidentally. The inner gilt wash is still obvious and fairly vibrant. The box is made from quality thick gauge silver and has a heavy weight and quality feel. It has two very tiny hallmarks. One is the Minerva head, the other is probably the maker's mark. Size: 2" L, 1.25" W, 1/2" H Weight: 42.9 grams |
