Most ancient cities had a goddess who watched over them and was often named for the city. This 20th century copy of the antique coin shows the protector of Rome. Minerva's head on one side, and she is riding on a chariot on the other side. When it is closed, it looks like just a coin, and the locket is hidden. Most lockets usually open from side to side on a hinge, this one slides out. Size: 0.75" Weight: 7.5 grams. The condition is excellent with the usual marks of its age. It is unmarked, but tested to be 14 Kt gold. |
