This wonderful European Arts and Crafts bronze easel picture frame from the 1900s consists of an elegant round frame supported by an imaginatively twisted rope motif with elm or ash leaves at the four corners and on the handle at the top. The fabric-covered panel and stand has a hanging ring. The overall impression is one of charm and balance, done in a surprising, almost whimsical manner. Great craftsmanship. Takes round 2.25" diameter photos. Frame measures 4.75" high, 4.25" wide. Easel sits 2" deep. Bronze is in perfect condition, back is restored, with new silk moire. Size 4.5" x 4.75" for 2.25" diameter picture. |
