Description: |
Austrian Empire style (812/1000) silver open salt cellar. It features a
boat-shaped dish with striking and gracefully curved open handles at
either end. The piece culminates in a tapering column which has an
egg-and-dart band and sits on an almond-shaped base. Part of the
date mark is worn off, but based on the shape of the mark and it's
style I think it is 1807, and there is an unidentified maker's mark.
Condition is good with for it's age. Size: 3.5" (89 mm) high, 3" (76 mm) base width, 4" (102 mm) top width. Weight: 23 grams |
